I did a previous post about the house in the photo above. The house is still for sale but I still do not know the asking price. That's my finger in the lower right -- a problem with having such a long ring finger. :)
Below is a photo showing how close the house is to the street, with the one corner actually hanging over the curb. The second photo below shows how close the railroad tracks were to the back of the house. The gravel that you see was the roadbed (called "ballast"). There were parallel tracks here, with the one just off the photo to the left now being used as a hike and bike trail. That red thing sticking up between the rr tracks and the house is a marker for the buried natural gas pipeline.

That' so weird how it hangs over the curb like that. Must've been one heck of a wind gust.

it is actually an up and coming neighborhood, with nearby homes selling in the $200,000 to $325,000 range. Put some siding on that puppy and you could easily double your investment.
I like how the gutter drains right into the street. That is one handy feature. The realtor should use that as a selling point.
