Well at least they weren't garish about it...

Subtle it's not!
The folks at Charmin have installed free toilets in New York's Times Square, just in time for the holidays.

Each of the 20 stalls is larger than most New York apartments, are cleaner, and have better plumbing.

Dang it! I was just there last weekend and didn't see these. Of course I tried to get out of Times Square as quickly as possible. Too many people! Too annoying!

there are attendants who clean each stall after each use, plus you can have your picture taken with the Charmin Bear!

the Charmin facilities are temporary (until Jan 1, I believe). New York City is planning public restroom for Times Square -- for 14 years they have been planning -- but have yet to install any.

Any place with a restroom is okay by me. There is a K-mart near where I used to work that does not have public bathrooms. In fact it is in a shopping center where none of the stores next to it have public restrooms either. If you have to go then you have go across the parking lot to either Denny's or Wendy's. The K-mart was always been dead while Wal-mart down the street is always busy. Wal-mart has two public bathrooms, one in the front of the store and one in the back. I wonder if there is a connection between the amount of customers and the amount of bathrooms?

I'd put money on the likelihood of a connection between the number of bathroom and amount of pee-smell in the parking lot at night

Wonder why they don't just leave these new ones and then add more later???? Thanks for the good tip Jim!

my guess is that the rent and the labor costs are astronomical!!!!

'Go in style.' It could work as a slogan in a funeral home as well as a restroom.

although a considerable price difference
