The drawings in the photo above, and those below, are sidewalk art by Julian Beever. While they look 3-D, they are "anamorphic illusions drawn in a special distortion in order to create an impression of 3 dimensions when seen from one particular viewpoint." There are more examples on his website.

I've seen this guy's work. It's interesting when you walk around and take a picture of it from another angle and see what he actually drew.

I wonder what he would charge to paint that swimming pool I've always wanted, might be cheaper than an actual pool.
Now that is graffiti that is worth seeing.
I've seen this guy's work before too, the one of Batman and Robin is just incredible.
