Bleach the hair, bleach the eyebrows, maybe get some colored lenses, get some sort of real-or-fake tan.
The earlier photo was before "A River Runs Through It," which was directed by Robert Redford. Everyone remarked at the time that it appeared that Redford tried to make Brad Pitt looks as much like a young version of Redford as was humanly possible. Pitt stuck with that look, even after the filming ended.
Still, I don't like the "I need a shave" look.
CL -- I always wondered by he does not look like the rest of his family.
Moni -- it's to distract from the circles under his eyes
