Your basic 10,000 calories per day diet!

MICHAEL PHELPS' DIET
Breakfast:
  • three fried egg sandwiches, with cheese; tomatoes, lettuce, fried onions, and mayonnaise;
  • three chocolate-chip pancakes;
  • five-egg omelette;
  • three sugar-coated slices of French toast;
  • bowl of grits;
  • two cups of coffee.

Lunch:
  • one pound of enriched pasta;
  • two large ham and cheese sandwiches with mayonnaise on white bread;
  • energy drinks.

Dinner:
  • one pound of pasta, with carbonara sauce;
  • large pizza;
  • energy drink.

I heard that he eats 10,000 to 12,000 calories a day. He will get fat when he is older because he is eating unhealthy carbs. 8 eggs per day?? I mean, athletes need more carbs, but that sounds like too much.

Moni -- the article says he's what five men would eat per day --

-- when I lived in apartment buildings, there were always what I called "water buffalo" in the swimming pool after 5 playing water volleyball -- guys in their mid-twenties who were still eating like they were 18, and the pizzas and beer were starting to show -- exactly as you predicted
