I remember gas being 19 cents per gal. in Houston, Texas where there was always "gas wars", lol. About, 1962.
not only were there gas wars, you got glasses or plates -- I'm still using my glasses and plates from the Shamrock stations
Oh yes, full service and redeemable stamps, like Eagle Stamps, Black Gold, S&H, etc..lol
I forgot about stamps -- Eagle Stamps were great because you could use them like cash at the Famous Barr (Mayco) stores -- pay part in cash and part in Eagle Stamps
The number of gallons has a decimal of 666, that's probably a bad sign
