I set my own schedule, so yes, I have today off. But I did spend the actual holiday with my family which includes many emergency services workers, therefore, I thank you for your thanks to them!

Meagan -- glad you could spend the holiday with your family -- one of the palces that I lived, it was traditional to take cookies and candies to fire and police stations on legal holidays, I wonder if there are towns where that is still done???? Jim
I have a feeling Christmas is a busy day for ER people...from kids trying out skateboards to Dad trying to put together the playhouse to Mom chopping food in the kitchen.
It's a dangerous time of year. --------------------------------------------------- Phoenix -- I had a roommate whose father backed into a knife that was in the dishwasher -- so on Christmas Day he had to go to the ER and have stitches put in his, you know, butt. Jim
If you have to work today, and the phone number is not 911, you deserve a better job.
