One steps forward, two steps back!

I bought a new computer.

This means I have Vista, the new Windows operating system.

Except that Microsoft has renamed some things, I don't see any big differences from XP.

Except, and I'm really steamed about this, they changes Solitaire into this neon thing, and they got rid of the "waterfall" of cards when you win! I've been pouting about it for two days!

  1. They changed solitaire. Surely this must be a sign of the apocalypse.

  3. No waterfall swoosh, with cards bouncing and flying across the screen?

    What's the point then?

I also bought a new PC recently with Vista pre-installed. It's been a pain in the ass at times(especially with it's sketchy Firefox interface), but like you, I don't see a whole lot of difference from XP.

  7. Bruce -- I've had problems with Firefox also, jumbling text -- the BIG difference has been Office 2007 (60 day trial) -- they major changed those programs and I HATE THEM, it took me 5 minutes to figure out how to print a Word document
